This single page contains more information about our experiences in the field of simulation of network technologies.

Our research team has strong experiences with the simulation of fixed and wireless networks too. We are familiar with the well-known simulation environments, such OPNET Modeler, NS-2, NS-3 or RouterSim. In recent several years we developed many simulation models in order to analyze various network technologies, protocols or applications.


The main areas of our research interest are:

  • Development and simulation of MANET’s routing protocols
  • Performance evaluation of QoS methods for wireless and fixed networks (802.11e, IntServ, DiffServ, MPLS)
  • Design of new algorithms for mobility prediction in MANET
  • Development of simulation models for generation of network traffic with specific pattern and probability distribution
  • Integration of real network components into simulation process
  • Network optimization for interactive telemedicine services
